These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Dopastep ("we," "our," or "us") covering your use of the Dopastep website and app at dopastep.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and where it goes.
Dopastep is an anti-procrastination tool. You describe a task you've been avoiding, an AI model breaks it into small steps, and a focus timer helps you start. We also offer optional focus rooms and task sharing.
Dopastep is a productivity tool, not a medical device or a healthcare service. It does not diagnose, treat, or offer advice about ADHD, depression, anxiety, or any other condition. If you're struggling with your mental health, please talk to a qualified professional.
You need to sign in with Google or GitHub to save tasks, sync across devices, or join focus rooms. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in provider secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Don't share your account or impersonate anyone else.
We may change our prices. If we do, the new price applies to renewals after we've given you notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
You can cancel Pro at any time from your PayPal account (Settings → Payments → Automatic Payments → Dopastep), or by emailing us at wangchong19890518@gmail.com and we'll cancel it for you.
When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you are not billed again. Payments already made are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or where we agree to one — if something went wrong, email us and we'll try to make it right. Nothing here limits statutory rights you may have as a consumer, including any EU or UK right to withdraw.
When you use Dopastep, you agree not to:
The steps Dopastep produces are generated by an AI model and can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. Treat them as suggestions, use your own judgement, and don't rely on them for anything with legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences.
As between you and us, you own the task text you write. You grant us the limited right to process it in order to run the Service (which includes sending it to our AI provider — see the Privacy Policy). We don't use it to train AI models.
The Service — including its name, design, and code — belongs to us. These Terms don't give you any right to copy, modify, or redistribute it, apart from using the Service as intended.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. We'll try to give notice of significant changes, but the Service is provided without a guaranteed uptime, and features may come and go. If we permanently shut down a paid feature, we'll refund the unused portion of your subscription.
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, in particular Section 6. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll refund any unused portion of your subscription.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will make you less likely to procrastinate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of Sections 11 and 12 may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new date above, and where required we'll notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
If you have a problem, please email us first at wangchong19890518@gmail.com — most things can be sorted out informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved this way will be handled in the courts of the operator's place of residence, unless the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring it locally, in which case those rights apply.
